Studio work · live in beta

I Do — a platform built solo.

A production wedding planning platform: budgets, suppliers, guest lists, seating, documents and the day itself. Card payments, subscriptions, an AI assistant and around sixty live endpoints, designed and built by one person. It is the clearest answer to the question people are really asking — what can this studio actually do?

The problem

Planning software that assumed you had a planner.

Wedding planning runs on spreadsheets, a phone full of screenshots and an inbox nobody can find anything in. The software that existed either handled one slice of it or was built for professional planners rather than the couple actually doing the work at eleven at night.

The brief was to build the thing properly: everything in one place, sensible about money, and genuinely helpful rather than another list to maintain.

What it does

The whole job, in one place.

01

Budget that holds up

Real figures, tracked against what has been paid and what is still owed, so the number on screen is the number.

02

Suppliers and documents

Contracts, invoices and quotes read automatically, the important details pulled out and checked rather than typed in by hand.

03

The inbox, handled

Supplier email read, filed and answered with a drafted reply waiting for approval. Nothing gets lost in a thread.

04

Guest list and RSVPs

Who is coming, who has not replied, dietary requirements, plus-ones — all in one place instead of four.

05

Seating

A plan that understands who should not be sat together, and rearranges the room when something changes.

06

An assistant that knows the plan

Ask it anything about your own wedding and get a real answer, because it can see the budget, the diary and the suppliers.

Under the bonnet

For anyone who wants the technical version.

Skip this if it means nothing to you — the point of the page is above. But if you are assessing whether this studio can handle something serious, this is the honest inventory.

  • Installable progressive web app on iPhone and Android, built in React, with authentication and a real-time database behind it.
  • Around sixty serverless endpoints in production, handling everything from document parsing to scheduled jobs.
  • An AI layer with model tiering, search grounding, intent classification and prompt caching — chosen per task so it stays fast and affordable rather than expensive by default.
  • Email, calendar and cloud storage integrations, plus inbound email routing with attachment handling and automated extraction of invoices, contracts and quotes.
  • Card payments and subscriptions with trials, entitlement states, export controls and webhook handling — the unglamorous parts most builds get wrong.
  • Speech transcription, push notifications, scheduled jobs, print-ready document generation and a deterministic seating engine.
  • A memory architecture where the user's own data lives in their own cloud storage rather than in a database owned by the studio.
  • A bespoke design system applied across more than twenty routes and roughly three hundred components.

What it cost to build

The honest framing.

UK benchmarks for 2026 put standard small-business production apps somewhere around £30,000 to £80,000, and medium-complexity agency builds in the £50,000 to £120,000 range, with genuinely complex platforms going well beyond that.

No client paid that here — this is the studio's own product, and quoting a fake invoice would be dishonest. What the comparison is for is scale: this is a platform of the size agencies quote six figures for, built and shipped by one person working under a written system. That is the entire argument for using this studio instead of an agency, and it is the reason a straightforward five-page website gets built by someone who has already taken something considerably harder all the way to production.

What it proves

Why this matters for your job.

Most businesses do not need any of the above. But everything smaller is contained within it. If a platform of this size runs in production, then a website that loads fast, an app your customers install, an assistant that answers your email and hosting that gets watched are all well inside the range — not aspirations, just smaller versions of work already done.

It also demonstrates the parts nobody advertises: payments that behave when a card fails, integrations that survive an API changing, and a system that can be handed over and understood.
