The studio

One studio. One pair of hands.

SR Studios is Stephen — based in Lytham St Annes, working with businesses across the Fylde coast, the North West and, when the work suits it, a good deal further than that.

Who you deal with

The person you speak to is the person who builds it.

There is no account manager, no sales team, and no junior developer receiving your feedback second-hand. You explain what your business needs to the person who will design it, write it, build it, host it and answer the phone when something needs changing.

That is a genuine limit as well as a selling point. One person can only take on so much at once, which is why the work runs to a written system rather than on memory and goodwill — and why you will occasionally be told a start date is a few weeks out rather than being promised something that cannot be delivered.

Where it comes from

The wedding trade, then the code.

The background is the wedding industry — venues, suppliers, planners. Years of watching small businesses do genuinely good work while their website did them no favours at all, and of seeing exactly how a booking, a deposit and a disappointed customer actually happen.

That turned into building software for the trade properly: a production wedding planning platform with payments, subscriptions, an AI assistant, calendar and email integrations and around sixty live serverless endpoints, built solo and running in beta today. It remains the clearest proof of what this studio can do, and the reason a five-page site for a joiner gets built by someone who has already shipped considerably harder things.

How the work runs

Every project runs under a written quality system.

Not a slogan — an actual set of rules the studio works to on every job. A brand lock agreed in writing before anything is built. A written quality list every build has to pass before launch: performance measured on the live URL, phone width checked on a real device, accessibility basics, forms proven to actually reach an inbox. A handover document so you are never dependent on a conversation nobody wrote down.

Most freelancers cannot show you this because it does not exist. It is the thing that makes one person behave like a studio rather than a hobby.

Straight about the limits

What this studio does not do.

Being honest about the edges is more useful than pretending there are none. If your job needs one of these, you will be told at the consultation rather than halfway through the build.

  • Native iPhone and Android development. Apps here install from the browser onto both, which suits most businesses — but it is not the same thing, and it is never claimed to be.
  • Online shops at large scale. Payments are proven; a five-hundred-product store is not something this studio has built.
  • Formal accessibility certification. Sensible accessibility practice is standard on every build; audited WCAG compliance would need a specialist partner.
  • Unlimited capacity. One person, real limits, honoured deliberately so delivery does not slip.

How it is priced

You know the number before anything starts.

Every job begins with a free thirty-minute consultation, and it ends with a real figure and a written scope. Anything beyond that scope is named and priced before it is built, never quietly added.

Most work also comes with a monthly care plan covering hosting, updates, backups, monitoring and small changes — because a website that nobody maintains stops earning, and handing it over untended would not be doing the job properly.

Tell me what you are trying to do.

Thirty minutes, free, no obligation — and an honest answer, including whether it is worth doing at all.
